Marrero Dentist Sponsoring Dental Implant Seminar in Destin

MARRERO, LA, Sep 30, 2015 (Marketwired via COMTEX) -- Dr. CJ Landry, a Marrero dentist trained to place long-lasting dental implants, will sponsor a four-day dental continuing education meeting in Destin this year.
The Oct. 8-11 training will focus on dental implant placement. Dr. Landry, who operates Lapalco Family Dental, places dental implants in his office to replace single missing teeth or to stabilize dentures.
Dr. Landry, along with other graduates of the Comprehensive Implant Residency Program, will study advanced dental implant cases and sinus augmentation and learn the latest techniques in dental implant placement.
"This is the first dental meeting I've organized, and I'm excited that I can be involved in helping dentists further their education in dental implants," Dr. Landry said. "Since I began offering dental implants, I've seen the treatment absolutely change people's lives, and I'm always eager to learn more about this wonderful procedure."
Dr. Mike McCracken and Dr. Guy Rosenstiel, co-founders of the Foundry Dental Center in Bessemer, Ala., will lead the Destin seminar, which will leave attending dentists with seven hours in continuing education credit. Both Drs. McCracken and Rosenstiel are Comprehensive Implant Residency Program instructors.
"I'm looking forward to an invigorating meeting and speaking with other dental professionals who are working to provide their patients with the latest technology and quality treatments," Dr. Landry said. "These trainings help us network with other dentists and find new ways to treat complicated dental cases."
Dr. Landry opened Lapalco Family Dental in July 1982 at 5421 Lapalco Blvd., Suite H. He provides general dentistry services as well as restorative dentistry, implant dentistry and short-term orthodontic solutions. Individual services include dental implants, implant-supported dentures, CEREC same-day crowns, teeth whitening, Six Month Smiles and ClearCorrect.
Dr. Landry has worked to implement the latest technology into his practice. He uses digital X-rays and a 3-D cone beam scanner. Dr. Landry uses the three-dimensional scans to map out dental implant procedures. The scan allows Dr. Landry to view patients' jawbone density, nerves in the mouth and even the smallest blood vessels.
Dr. Landry grew up in New Orleans' West Bank but lived in Germany for four years as a child. He attended West Jefferson High School and then received a football scholarship from Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, La., where he earned his undergraduate degree in chemistry. After graduating from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry, he opened a practice with a classmate in 1982 and has been practicing at that location ever since. His business partner opened his own practice in 1987.
Dr. Landry has completed a residency program in dental implants and received advanced training in rotary endodontics and orthodontics.
Lapalco Family Dental works to give patients of all ages the care they need. The Marrero dental office offers patient financing programs CareCredit and Springstone and subscribes to LocalMed.

In other dental news: Aurident's 3D dental scanners offer superior quality for both model and impression scanning. The Optimet DS 6000 Scanner uses patented proprietary conoscopic holographic technology to generate highly accurate and consistent scans. The DSi 6000 Impression & Model Scanner overcomes the limitation of other scanners by accurately scanning impressions and models where other scanners have difficulty.
