Candy is dandy, but if a dollar bill is more of a thrill, Salina Dental Arts can help.
The dental office will again offer trick-or-treaters money in exchange for candy in a program designed to prevent Halloween treat-induced cavities.
Trick-or-treaters can bring excess candy to the office at 1829 S. Ohio between 10 a.m. and noon Nov. 7 to receive $1 per pound for the child, as well as a $1-per-pound donation to the child’s school.
This will be the eighth year the dental office has bought back candy.
All candy received through the program will be donated to soldiers, according to a statement from the dental office.
The dental office is planning games, crafts, a bounce house and family fun, as well as a prize for the child who donates the most candy during the event.
