Aspen Dental offering 25 percent discount to military, veterans, spouses

Veterans, those currently serving in the military and their spouses in can get discounted dental care at Aspen Dental for a limited time.
According to a written statement from Aspen Dental, veterans do not receive government dental benefits through Veterans Affairs unless they are classified as 100 percent disabled, have a service-connected dental condition, or have a service-oriented medical condition that is affected by their mouth.

A recent survey commissioned by Aspen Dental revealed that only 50 percent of survey respondents were aware of the criteria and that access to dental care was not widely acknowledged as a challenge veterans face. Only 12 percent of survey respondents considered it to be one of the top three challenges, the statement says.
Because of this, Aspen Dental made it its mission to expand its Healthy Mouth Movement through a discount on dentures and general dentistry for those serving in the military, veterans and their spouses that is designed to help expand access to dental care.

Each time the offer is shared on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #HealthyMouthMovement, Aspen Dental will donate $1 to Got Your 6, an organization that helps strengthen communities and empower veterans nationwide, the statement says.
