Oro Valley’s Studio Dental, revered for its award-winning reputation and quality care, has yet another reason to be proud.
In July, Dr. Athena Storey, owner of Studio Dental, handpicked Dr. Jennifer Berry to join the team.
“In our pursuit to provide exceptional dental care, we feel so fortunate to have Dr. Berry join Studio Dental,” said Storey. “She brings a caring and compassionate attitude, coupled with advanced dental skills. It’s a perfect fit.”
Originally from New Hampshire, Berry comes to Studio Dental after having graduated with a degree in advanced education in general dentistry. She practiced her residency in Sells through Lutheran Medical, and worked at a private practice in Virginia for a year and a half before taking time off as a stay-at-home mom.
After moving to Tucson, a dental anesthesiologist who had worked with both Storey and Berry recommended Berry look into joining the team at Studio Dental.
Berry was already somewhat familiar with Storey’s practice before she inquired.
“I had seen this office out here. I was actually having breakfast next door with a friend who told me I should look at opportunities there,” said Berry. “I’d seen all the awards, so I knew it had a great reputation.”
Studio Dental has been a repeat winner for Best Dentist in the Northwest through public vote.
It is known for having the latest technological equipment including chair-side economical restoration of esthetic ceramics, which only about 10 percent of dental practices in the nation employ, and for creating a comfortable environment for its patients with body-mapped chairs, flat screen televisions and a personable staff.
In the five years since Storey opened Studio Dental, she has been an award-winning dentist, being named a top dentist, one of the Nation’s Top 40 Dentists under 40, and other accolades.
Asked if it was rewarding to join such a well-known and accomplished establishment, Berry said, “Absolutely.”
“Generally speaking, it’s nice to be in a place where patients respect and appreciate their dentist,” she said.
Berry says building relationships with patients will be a top priority for her as she continues her role at Studio Dental.
“I’m really hoping to do that,” she said. “I know that’s something Dr. Storey has established here.
“That’s been one of the biggest selling points for me to join her was that she actually takes the time to talk with her patients, and that’s very rare and hard to find these days. I like that I have the ability to do that.”
Berry will work in conjunction with Dr. Storey, as well as other times when Dr. Storey is unavailable.
By adding Dr. Berry to the practice, Studio Dental is now providing care to its patients five days per week.
