New technology helping to make dentist appointments pain-free

Feeling anxious about going to see your dentist?
Some dental procedures can be painful. Now there’s a way to eliminate that fear all together.
No needle – no drill- no pain.
“If you have any issues at all, just raise your hand,” said Dr. David Fantarella.
Jessica Holeva now looks forward to undergoing dental treatment.
“I explained to him,” said Jessica. “That I felt really anxious aboput coming to the dentist. I was afraid of it, like many people are.”
Her fear was eliminated with the latest laser technology Solea, offered by her dentist Dr. Fantarella at Dr. David M. Fantarella D.M.D. and Associates Dentistry.
He explained, “A tooth is like an egg. You have to get through that outer shell and it’s able to do that and do it quickly and efficiently without pain.”
There’s no anesthesia or bleeding involved.
This is the first computer controlled laser, using pulsed energy, to fix all kinds of issues.
“It vaporises the tooth structure and it does it in such a way, it pulses so high that it doesn’t hurt,” Dr. Fantarella said, “All restorative procedures, whether you are taking out white fillings or silver fillings, amalgam or just virgin tooth. It really makes dentistry accessible to a two year old to 102.”
Jessica said, “There’s never any pain. I feel more control of the procedure. It’s faster. It’s easier and there’s not that crazy drilling noise that nobody likes to hear.”
On this visit, Dr. Fantarella is removing decay between Jessica’s two front teeth.
And the time spent doing it — is cut down dramatically with the laser.
As well as recovering from it.
“You can go ahead and eat,” said Jessica, “And just pick up on your day like you never were here.”
Dr. Fantarella said his patients are not charged more because he offers the laser technology.
That in some instances the procedures will cost less because he is more efficient while using fewer materials.
