DEA agents removed items from a West Des Moines dentist's home on Tuesday morning.
Dr. Shawn Kerby has run the Kerby Family Dental office at 1200 Valley West Dr. for 8 years, according to his website.
According to documents, his license is under probation for two years starting in October 2014. He was charged with indiscriminately prescribing or dispensing drugs for unlawful purposes and failing to keep proper patient records for prescription medication before the Iowa Dental Board.
Tuesday morning, undercover agents with the Des Moines DEA office were at 536 Northwest 62rd Place in north Polk County. Kerby lives there with his fiance.
KCCI's Mark Tauscheck saw agents removing guns, computers, Kerby's pickup truck and other items from the property.
Neighbors told Tauscheck that agents were at house for hours this morning removing items. They said they were surprised by what they saw.
Employees at Kerby's dental office said he was "gone for day."
