Chicago area dental group offering free care to those who can't afford it

People may complain about going to the dentist, but you won't hear that from those who have to go without. Dental miseries are a special pain that can fiercely escalate when left untreated. That's why the team at Chicagoland Smile Group is offering the less fortunate an uncommon luxury Dec. 11: a free trip to the dentist.
The "12 Dentists of the Holidays," a team of dentists, hygienists and specialists, will be performing cleanings, X-rays, diagnostics and more as part of their first ever charity initiative.
Patients will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis only and will be treated for as long as time allows. Patients must be at least 12 years old and accompanied by a guardian if under age 18. Doors will open at 8 a.m. Friday at all Chicagoland Smile Group offices.
