Free dental, medical screenings in Hackettstown Thursday

Zufall Health will commemorate the fifth annual National Rural Health Day in Warren County on Thursday by providing free dental and medical screenings and services to the rural population of northwest New Jersey.
The free services will be available to all age groups from 1 to 7 p.m. at Zufall’s Hackettstown office located at Doctor’s Park, 117 Seber Rd., and Building 5. Appointments are advised, but not required.
Participants will be screened at no cost by a dentist for oral cancer, periodontal disease, and cavities. Those who need follow-up care can make an appointment for future treatment and will receive a $20 discount coupon they can use to pay the required $20 deposit toward the $40 service fee. If they do not schedule the appointment that day, they can use the coupon later when they visit the office to make their appointment.
Medical staff will be providing screenings for blood pressure, body mass index, vision, asthma, blood sugar (glucose) with finger stick, and HIV. Zufall will also be providing free flu shots, education on several health topics, and lots of giveaways.
Anyone interested in scheduling an appointment should call 908-452-5366. Patients will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis and waiting may be expected. In addition, volunteer opportunities are still available for dentists, doctors, nurses or hygienists interested in donating their services for all or part of the day.
